Who we are

We are a community of practitioners supporting WIL sharing resources to support students navigating accommodation and accessibility processes. We aim to promote knowledge sharing to build skills that pre-emptively address accessibility and accommodations in WIL. Through supportive learning spaces we strive welcome people to express diverse views, challenge our work norms, and raise creative solutions for institutional systems challenges. The goal is to support all students in rewarding WIL experiences that lead to potential entry into their respective fields.

Voluntary membership of the WiLAA CoP is made up of:

  1. People working to create accessible learning, training and hiring spaces for disabled people.
  2. People whose work relates to WIL or accessibility and accommodation in high education.
    • Some members’ roles are administrators, human resources, course instructors, accessibility services, WIL mentors, or placement coordinators.
